FINAL REFLECTION

My 'lens' was very skeptical from the beginning since the entire project is based on false grounds. The project did not create many new ideas for my photos.

My 'lens' also did not change. This project did not motivate me or inspire me to try anything new with my photography. No incentive to break the boundaries of photography, the only effort I put in to this project was to post pictures, taken for reasons completely unrelated to this class or the project. I did not visually start seeing signs of hope, and I still believe this project was a waste of time. More of a daily chore than an exciting photography project. So many things this class could have thought me: how to work a camera, how to frame a subject, how to work lighting, how to do portraiture, the importance of not over-editing your pictures, how to judge a good picture from a boring one, and much more. Instead we're doing an unrelated project about "signs of hope", barely grounded in psychology. Oh.

I do not believe the photo blog experience will help me for any reason in the future. The build-your-own-website experience was very, very limited because unless you're very skilled with coding, Blogger does not offer you many options to visually change the layout of the website. Anything else this website could have thought me, I already figured out from literally any other site.

WEEK THREE REFLECTION

More than halfway through the project, and still not feeling the promised feeling of "hope" and "happiness". Oh?

My favorite picture would be the picture of day nine. This picture has since then also been my phone background. I like it because it's somewhat funny and I appreciate spending time with my friends. Also seeing the jersey makes me happy because Powderpuff game was one of the best nights of my life.
:)

DAY THIRTEEN

Colorful art supplies. cool.

WEEK TWO REFLECTION

Week two into our blog project and I am not feeling any of the anticipated effects. My thinking, feeling and outlook on photography has not changed. I don't think any differently than I did 2 weeks ago, and if I feel any different it's because of things that happened external to this class. My outlook on photography also has not changed, because instead of focusing on high quality photography and putting time and creativity into it, I take bad-quality pictures of uninteresting themes just to fit in the assignment. I focus more on quantity (posting daily as is the assignment) rather than quality.

DAY EIGHT

Open minded people make me happy. Thank you, local university.

WEEK ONE REFLECTION

One week into the blog project, and I'm still not very enthusiastic. While the whole website design thing is fun, I'm still skeptical of the whole project and the link with photography is so thin I can barely see it.
:)

DAY THREE

Birds make me happy. Birds are cute
